Chicken Biscuit Treats

Chicken Biscuit Cat Treats

  1. Put the canned chicken, liquid and all, in a medium bowl. And mash it up as finely as you can (see picture below). Step 1

  2. Add some corn meal and 1 large egg (see picture below). Step 2

  3. Mix them all together thoroughly (see picture below). Step 3

  4. Press the mixture out on a parchment lined cast iron pan or baking sheet, and score it with a sharp knife (see picture below). Step 4

  5. Bake it in the oven for 3-4 minutes. Then pull it out to refresh the score marks, and bake it an additional 3-4 minutes (see picture below). Step 5

  6. Remove it from the oven and slide the treats, along with the parchment paper, onto a cooling rack.

Once it has cooled completely, the parchment paper will peel right off the treats, and they will break apart along the score marks very easily (see picture below). Finished Treats

It is best to keep these homemade cat treats cold, so they don’t go bad. You can place them in a refrigerator for 5-7 days with no problem.

Using Different Flavors

The chicken meat can be replaced with any other canned meat such as ham, turkey, mackerel, salmon, sardines, tuna, and anchovies, etc. Also, the corn flour can be substituted by other flour that is safe for felines such as oat flour, wheat flour, and rice flour, etc.
